The staff were most unhelpful. They failed to advise the cleaning staff that we had arranged a late check out. After sightseeing for the day we came home to shower and found we were locked out and that all our belongings had been moved. Instead if providing a solution immediately the staff blamed one another. We stayed in a studio apartment which had no utensils or even a toaster or tea towel.... This clearly defeats the purpose for which one rents a studio: so that you can make your own food and eat at home. We then asked cleaning staff for a toaster and they advised only some studios were equipped with them and that if we wanted one we should ask reception. Upon asking reception we were told no one got toasters and that the cleaner was lying. In fact, the cleaner was not and provided one to us the next day. This may sound trivial but for the money we paid we expected much more. After all it is not like we paid a back packer rate!!!

Our fridge blew up as soon as we arrived. There was no shower curtain. The bathroom was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a tramp.

The staff were friendly and the room spacious - a 3 person room with a kitchenette. The hotel was in a really good position for the purpose of our stay, with an excellent pub around the corner and Finsbury Park across the Road. We found it to be good value for money.

The Hotel was quite difficult to find - surrounded by a large metal fence with no sign distinguishing it as a hotel. The Kitchenette, while really useful, did not have any utensils/plates/cups, so if you stay in this room make sure you bring your own. We found it difficult to make a sandwich with the one blunt knife available!

Interesting set up. Good breakfast if you like toast... I like toast. Staff were very friendly.

The toilet / washing facilities were acceptable... Just. Could do with some improvement. The pillows were dire and could not be described as pillows.

The location for my trip idea

I booked for twin room and got double room which was very disappointing especially when I was sharing bed with 16 years old child. The breakfast was very poor that we only attended once.

That is was available as a last minute option.

Location, cleanliness, customer service.

Excellent location - 100m from tube station. Bakery & small supermarket almost next door. Good size room for London.

Shower was only handheld in bath.

Difficult to find, ended up walking through a very dodgy looking housing estate with shady looking residents who looked like they'd kill to dispossess me of the iPhone I was using to navigate with. The standard of decoration and furnishing was shoddy and dilapidated,there was a sharp and dangerous toilet roll holder in the bathroom and you are forced to give your keys to staff on leaving the room for the day with no means of securing valuables inside. The room was cleaner than many I've stayed in so I've marked it as fair but the age and condition made it feel 'grubby'.

Reasonable standard of cleanliness, but total lack of service. I was waiting for a recorded- delivery package which was signed for by reception and it took 3 days and a threat to call the police before the constantly-changing staff managed to locate it. The breakfast was terrible - just DIY tea and toast.

The Hotel is really close to the Subway station so is very easy to reach the centre of London in 15 minuts. If you move by train this is the right choice. The day we arrived the shower brake but they fixed it very quickly.

The lounge is very little and sometimes you have to wait a little before having breakfast

The only thing we found pleasurable about the place was the gated premises as well as the cleanliness of the bedding.

The walls were chipped and dirty looking, as well as a raggedy service from the hotel manager at the reception desk. Very unprofessional staff, that were too laid back, and clueless. There wasn't any Wi-Fi connection at all, contrary to what was advertised. The lady at the desk completed everything by herself at once and looked weary, and exhausted.

Right beside Finsbury Park and Manor Park station.

the hotel is in a good spot for finsbury park. it is down a quiet street which is nice. i would say it was over priced as it is very basic. having said that it was very clean. it was just rather tatty. if it was half the price we would definitely stay again.

Room was more than I expected it had a kitchenette which was useful.

I would have preferred a more professional kitchen and breakfast area. The area was very noisy. Music all / most of the night. They should invest in sound proof windows at the front. The bathroom could be modernised, decor was damp and jaded. Shower was just taps and the shower screen had no seal so leaked on the floor.
